Congratulations to Gráinne Brown from class Skinnider in Third year, who represented the school at the Junior Schools Debating Finals on Thursday 28th March.
Gráinne Brown represented Mount Sackville in the finals of the Junior schools debating competition in UCD. It is the first time in eleven years that a student of Mount Sackville succeeded from the semi-finals to the finals in the biggest competition in the country for students of this age group.Gráinne was remarkable and demonstrated great confidence and flair. She debated as an individual, having debated with Habiba Khan until the quarter finals where Habiba lost out. Thank you to all the supporters and especially to Habiba who travelled to UCD on Thursday night. Congratulations to Gráinne who despite not winning 'best speaker' deserves an immense amount of credit and she is doubtlessly one of the best speakers in Leinster. The school is very proud of her achievement.
