Our new academic year began with our School Opening Mass, celebrated by Br Richard of the Capuchin Franciscan Order. As the whole school community gathered together in the Gym, we prayed for our students, staff, parents and guardians as we begin the year, asking for wisdom, hope and guidance for the year ahead. The Mass also provided a special welcome for our 1st Year students as they begin their journey at Mount Sackville.
Celebrating the Feast of St Monica, Br Richard reminded us of her example of faith, hope and love, and encouraged us to look for the light even in difficult times and to reflect that light back to others so that it shines even brighter.
Our sincere thanks to Br Richard, our Chaplain, Ms O'Flahery, the RE and Music Department, our choir and our Eucharistic Ministers for helping us begin the new school year in such a meaningful way.
